OCOTAL BEACH is a calm sandy beach about 1/3 mile in length and ideal for swimming and beach activities. Although many visitors come to Ocotal for its world class sportfishing, exciting scuba diving and surfing, other activities like tennis, and water sports are available for guests. Ocotal is the perfect place to just relax and enjoy the quiet easy going pace of this isolated area.

Conveniently located and easily accessible paved highways, Ocotal Beach Resort are only 2 miles from the fishing village and vacation center of Playa del Coco. Ocotal’s restaurant and bar serve from an international menu specializing in fresh seafood. From the bar there are tropical cocktails, a varied wine list and both local and imported spirits and yes, the tap water is safe to drink.

Our Hotel

Ocotal Beach Resort is a small luxurious hideaway where visitors relax and enjoy the marvels of the Pacific Ocean in year round summer weather. Ocotal was totally remodeled and renovated in 1999 as well as adding the new Caracol Snack bar on the beach. Three swimming pools are located in different areas of the hotel. A hard service tennis court with lights is found near the snack shop and the beach.

The lobby and restaurant sitting atop a knoll surrounded by water on 3 three sides with Ocotal’s third swimming pool below is regarded as one of Costa Rica’s most picturesque spots.

THE FATHER ROOSTER, BAR & GRILL

Located at the opposite end of Ocotal Beach from the hotel this renovated turn of the century ranch house provides a relaxed bathing suit and bare foot atmosphere for spirits and informal dinning. A place for dancing and just having a good time.

Ocotal has Costa Rica's most renowned professional scuba diving operation .
